RE: Wiring a switch to a fuse

If it is like my HHR and has the mini fuses. Just remove the fuse.
Then grind down a couple of Spade Connectorto fit where the fuse came out. Add wire to connectors to reach a Switchwherever you want it.
On one of the wires put In Line Mini Fuse Holder to put the fuse in that you took out.

RE: GPS tracking for family and friends

As a GPS CoPilot Live user, you can create an account on our website that allows your family, friends, and coworkers to "see" you and communicate with you anywhere in the world!
Through the website you can do all of the following:
• Send text messages to CoPilot users on the road, using large, customizable, one-touch response buttons to ensure driver safety.
• Real-time tracking of other people who are on the road. See their current location, destination, ETA and much more on a map.
• Send trip itinerary updates including new stops and revised destinations — you can coordinate a change in plans with someone who’s on the road right now.
• Create an online account from where you can send temporary or permanent tracking numbers to friends and family, giving you tighter control of the security so you know who has access to you while you’re on the road. You can also create and join groups with other CoPilot users, and manage all your account preferences.
To see a demo and read more about CoPilot’s Live capabilities, visit ALK’s CoPilot Live web page at http://live.alk.com (North America) or http://live.alk.eu.com (Europe). Click the Demo or Help button at the top of the home page.

RE: Extra LP tank questions

Why don't you just fill your tank before you get there. I full time and only fill my LP tank once a year. I use electric for water heater and space heaters. LP is only used for cooking and running refrig while driving. I used 3.5 gal this last year and 4.7 gal the year before.

RE: How to tow a 2300lb toad 4 down behind 24' Class C?

• The tow bar must be within the ‘Safe Zone’ — no
more than three inches above level or four inches below
level. Towing with an out-of-level tow bar will cause significant
wear and tear on the tow bar and mounting brackets,
and on the towed vehicle’s suspension and frame.
Your ball is 24" above the ground, but the attachment points for the toad are about 10" above ground. A 14" differential looks like you will need a bigger drop hitch.

RE: Another Transynd Question

If he used the new Heavy Duty Allison filters they are good for 48 months & that will put you around 25,000 miles. The old Gold ones good for 36 months.
The 3000 usually takes 16 qt. with drain & filter change.
Did he put more then 16 qt. in?

RE: Diesel Additives..Are they needed?

This is the 7th winter my DP has sat for 7 months straight in FL. I have never added a biocide algae preventive to the tank.
I do top it off and put Sta-Bil in the tank before parking every year. I change the W/S filter every 3 years & the main engine filter every 2. I buy 99% of my fuel at Flying J.

RE: collision avoidance systems for motorhomes

Please, folks, When information is needed concerning something that you have no experience using, Vorad comes to mind, don't offer snap opinions that may influence someone that is contemplating purchasing such a system. Just sit back and let the folks that actually use the system answer the question. We all have opinions, but please limit them to something you have actual experience using. Vorad is a great system, used mine for years, and would not be without it.
:h :@ I may have missed it, but I can't find in the OP where he was asking any question from users of the Vorad system. Or even ask that reply's only be posted from users :R

My "99" ISB got a cracked manifold and it was a two piece manifold.
If your crack gets big you will lose pressure and HP.

RE: After TV goes all digitial will the range increase?

Around here, we only have 1 station with 20 miles, which we can still get. All the others, are further away, and we have lost them due to the digital signal.
My Batwing is picking up 18 SD stations that I watch, plus several others in Spanish. By Antenna Web they are 16 to 37 miles away.

RE: RVing with Direct TV satalite system

I have had DTV since 1995 and have been full time since 1999.
Have had no problem. I have two receivers in the MH one a SD the other a HD and have no phone hook up. Have the E & W DNS service for the networks & E DNS in HD.
If I want local TV I put the batwing up in the air. If it dosen't pick up any station. Then to get local weather, usually the only reason for getting local TV. I push the Active button on the DTV remote and input a local zip.
Now I have local weather anywhere I travel.

RE: Sony SAT B-3 satellite receiver

The Sony B-3 Satellite receiver can only receive SD signals. It will not get the HD signals broadcasting in KA or KU.
Just keep using the single LNB dish on the Datron. Unless you want to change to a HD receiver then the 5 LNB dish will be what you need.

RE: This Flying J ..Nasty..Nasty

Stopped at a FJ in PA in June and eventually left without fuel due to the rude and less than helpful/friendly truckers
:h What were you doing trying to get gas in the truck lanes where they sell diesel? The RV Island has gas pumps.
What kind of help were you expecting to get from the truckers?
If they are a long line at the RV Island a gas RV can also use the outside lane at the car pumps with no problem. Been there done that.

RE: Overloaded

Didn't you weigh the front and rear separate?
You may already be over the rear GAWR.
You really need to weigh all 4 corners.
On mine fully loaded I still have 1,710 lb of CCC to use on the front, but only 200 lb yet to use for the rear.
It is 130 lb overweight on the L. Rear and 330 lb under on R. Rear.
